Necessary

Is this production necessary? The only aircraft is a drawing/artwork which doesn't even represent an actual aircraft. My point really is does it add value to the site? Bthebest 07:02, 17 January 2011 (MST)

agreed

it is not identifying any aircraft, which is the purpose of this project.

"The Internet Movie Plane Database was created so aircraft and movie enthusiasts, as well as the guys in the aircraft industry have a fun, organized place to compile a list of movies which feature airplanes, helicopters, and the likes for everyone to enjoy and be able to easily identify just what was used in a particular movie."

No Deletion please

I can understand this reaction, though the thema of this picture is not off subject and makes an interesting disgression around the airplane thematic. In such a way, we should narrow the pages of IMPD and avoid all films not representing real aircrafts (ex, Star Wars, Made for movie aircrafts...). I vote for keeping every kind of subjetcs representing flying machines (except weapon rockets) on this site, considering that these cases will be exceptionnal anyway. There is a discussion on the forum about animated movies that you're welcome to contribute to. I see your point about the fact that it is a picture of a 'conventional' aircraft as oppose to an animated one however the problem is that it doesn't actually represent an actual aircraft. Hopefully in the future we can introduce some guidelines for fictional aircraft. For now though, I would suggest moving this information to the forum. Bthebest 16:02, 19 January 2011 (MST)
