Justifications for ID

What justifies the ID of the respective shots as A340-313X and A300? I think the A300 is misidentified and actually a Boeing 777, whilst the A340 cannot be distinguished as that particular model. Bthebest - IMPDb Administrator 12:58, 18 March 2011 (MDT)

You're absolutly right about the 777, I didn't pay enough attention when posting it. It's indeed a 777,either in 228/ER or 328/ER series of Air France. About the Airbus A340, the last picture shows with evidence an Air France aircraft (tail fin), though other pictures aren't so easily identifiables. As Air France, it's either a 311 or 313X series model. 313X having a higher probability than the 311 in AF fleet (about 15 aircrafts of that type versus the 311 (only 3 or 4) Sixcyl 03:38, 19 March 2011 (MDT)

I agree it's a -200. Doesn't appear to be an overwing door. Also, I'm not sure the last picture is a 777 - the engines look a bit small.

Which tail fin are you talking about? The rear view is a 747 and the right one is the 777. I understand your point about the probability but it's still better to be completely right rather than partially wrong. Bthebest - IMPDb Administrator 16:20, 19 March 2011 (MDT)

UID Aircraft

Erik Brouwer has suggested a Star Airlines A320 for the Unidentified Aircraft. I agree it looks like a Star Airlines livery and interior but the windows look too square to be either an A320 or A330. Any other opinions? Bthebest - IMPDb Administrator 10:44, 5 July 2011 (MDT)

Maybe the first pictures doesn't belong to the same airplane than the 2 others? Sixcyl 14:55, 6 July 2011 (MDT)
