Replica 1931 GEEBEE Z (a/k/a "TURNER T-4") (FLYING REPLICA built by Bill Turner c. 1975). The Granville Brothers (G-B "Gee-Bee") built the original planes in the '30s. This is a replica. Crash scenes use an identically-painted non-flying replica 1931 GEEBEE Z (built c. 1990). That replica was repainted black & white with NA73 designation for it's appearance later in the film.
