It great to see you getting so involved so soon. It looks like you really know your aircraft! When you are certain of an aircraft, feel free to update it on the film's page and delete it from the Unidentified Aircraft page. If it's the only one of that aircraft on the site to date, just completely uncategorize it. What I mean by that is when you update it on the film's page, there should not be a link for it. It should not go back to the Unidentified Aircraft page. If there is one or more of that same aircraft on the site already, we want to properly categorize it so that a link directs us to that aircraft's page. When this is the case, you will also want to put in the code <nowiki>[[Category:Boeing 747]]</nowiki>, for example, at the bottom of the page. Doing that will cause the film to appear on the aircraft's page. To get a complete example, you can always click the "edit" tab at the top of each film. I hope this helps. I know that the viewing community, including myself and the other users are appreciative of anything you can do to help. Since the site is so young, we are a long way from where we want to be.

There is a [[new users]] page which can help make the site easier to use. If you are interested in getting more involved, you could also register on the [http://www.impdb.org/forum/ forum] to publicly discuss site ideas, and other aviation info and thoughts. Also, free to tell us a little about yourself on your [[User:Christian|user page]]. I know I for one would love to hear how you have gained so much knowledge about aircraft/aviation.

At least, the REAL movie is of little interest for Aeromovies as aircraft are seen mostly in the distance~and for short action. Only the Beechcraft 1900C-1 of SkyKing Airlines is notably visible with action of around one minute (or less) at the beginning.

Welcome to IMPDb

Thanks for joining The Internet Movie Plane Database Christian!

When this is the case, you will also want to put in the code [[Category:Boeing 747]], for example, at the bottom of the page.

There is a new users page which can help make the site easier to use. If you are interested in getting more involved, you could also register on the forum to publicly discuss site ideas, and other aviation info and thoughts. Also, it would be great to hear a little about you on your user page. I know I for one would love to hear how you have gained so much knowledge about aircraft/aviation.

Warning on Carriers

Thanks for your alert on Carriers which linked in screenshots of a movie with title and data from another one !
I'm working from three types of source :

  • VHS or DVD
  • online video
  • material provided by IMCDB contributors.

About the last one, I try to watch the movie (at least in FAST mode and so find sometimes additional aircraft or scenes). But sometimes, I'm unable and upload just the screenshot found on IMCDB. I always put on the Discussion Tab the original poster.

With the first two, I watch the movie and do the screenshot and so I'm sure of the title ... seen of the screen!
But some movies have been issued several times with different titles...
About Carriers, I'm afraid we're facing another trap : it seems the uploader made a mix between two movies with similar plot. At least, the REAL movie is of little interest for Aeromovies as aircraft are seen mostly in the distance~and for short action. Only the Beechcraft 1900C-1 of SkyKing Airlines is notably visible with action of around one minute (or less) at the beginning.
