War (2019)

Welcome to IMPDb!
Dedicated to identifying aircraft throughout Movies, Television, and Video Games!

Dear Friends:

A few short years ago we created this message box on our home page, asking for your help to keep this site up and running. In that time, many of you have generously donated to our PayPal account and we are forever grateful. With your help, we've been able to make the necessary upgrades to our server to keep the site running more smoothly than ever!

The meager ad revenue generated by this site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server, and we who manage it have never made money from it.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we continue to ask for donations to keep this site up and running. If you're still enjoying this website and would like to help us continue being the BEST site on the Internet for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Thank you,
Tobin & Rush

Cirrus SR22 G3

Reg. N725KL is for a Cirrus SR22 G3 c/n 79 built in 2011. The real aircraft is light blue/pale grey instead red.
According the screenplay, the Cirrus is chasing the cargo plane. Usual cruise speed of the SR22 is 183 knots (339 km/h / 211 mph) with a top speed of 213 knots (slighty below 400 km/h / 245 mph)....

(CGI) Ilyushin Il-76 (acting as Airbus A400M Atlas)

From the rear, the props are visible and lack of rear turret could let think to an Airbus A400M ...

... but the front view reveals the glazed nose and the radar's ventral radome found on the Ilyushin Il-76.

The graphic palette was used to replace the jet engine by turboprop and their propellers: their attachment to the wing and the leading edge of this one correspond to the Ilyushin Il-76, not the Airbus.
Jumping from the Cirrus, Tiger is targetting the Atlas ... which cruise speed is 422 knots (780 km/h / 485 mph), twice the Cirrus maximum speed. Perhaps if the cargo was ready to drop paratroopers and was flying slower ... but this is not the case !

Once on board, the cargo bay is that of a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III.
