Registration N88833, c/n 2003. Delivered new to PAA-Pan American World Airways in February 1946. Named Clipper Polynesia, then Clipper Robin Hood, then Clipper Bald Eagle. Leased to Panair do Brasil in December 1950, then bought in January 1951, registered PP-PDD named Domingos Jorge Velho. Wfu at Rio de Janeiro GIG in July 1964. Broken up in 1969.
Must be an older archive knowing that the plane became Brazilian in 1950. On the other hand, we cannot rule on the name it had at the time of these photos.
Landing gear lowered for imminent landing.
Boeing 377-10-26 Stratocruiser
Continuity error, the airplane changes to Stratocruiser at cruising altitude.
Registration N1041V, c/n 15941. Delivered new to PAA-Pan American World Airways in November 1949. Named Clipper Yankee, then Clipper Northern Light. Wfu in 1960.
