17 mins black-and-white sound film describing a day in the life of Croydon Airport which was London's leading airport during the 1920s and 1930s, this film released in 1934 was the first-ever film made by the Shell Film Unit.

Registration G-AAXD, c/n 42/6. Delivered new to Imperial Airways in June 1930, named Horatius. Written off in July 1939. Forced landing on Tiverton golf course. It was returning to Exeter from France when the pilot could not find Exeter due to bad weather, leading him to make a forced landing. No fatalities.

Registration OO-AII, c/n 185. Belgian SABCA production delivered new to SABENA in December 1929. Destroyed by fire after Fairey Fox '0-47' crashed into a hangar in Evere in July 1934.
Short L.17 Scylla
First of the two built, registration G-ACJJ, c/n S.768. Delivered new to Imperial Airways in March 1934, named Scylla. Transferred toB.O.A.C in 1939. Destroyed in gale Drem, UK in September 1940.

Background on the left Junkers Ju 52/3me of DLH, registration D-AMYR, c/n 5071. Delivered new in October 1934, named Telefunken.
To the right an Avro 652 of Imperial Airways.
Fokker F.IX
Registration PH-AGA, c/n 5106. Delivered new to KLM in October 1929, named Adelaar. Sold to Alfred Pilain/Paris in September 1936, registered F-APFA, then to Société Française de Transports Aériens. Sent to Spanish Republicans. Damaged in bomb attack at Le Bourget in August 1937.
Fokker F.XII
Continuity error when take off, the airplane changes to Fokker F.XII.
Registration PH-AID, c/n 5291. Delivered to KLM in October 1931, named Duif. Sold to British Airways Ltd in October 1936. Scrapped in June 1940.

One distinctive Handley Page H.P.42/45 on the ground among several unidentified airplanes (too blurry). In the air one of the Fokkers of the era.
Junkers Ju 52/3me
Registration D-ADER, c/n 5120. Delivered new to DLH in 1935, named Hans Wende. Sold to Syndicato Condor in July 1938, registered PP-CBE named Yarassu.Changed to Serviços Aéreos Cruzeiro do Sul in 1943. Sold to Fuerza Aérea Argentina in August 1947, registered T-169. Bought by Ministerio de Agricultura de Argentina in April 1950, registered LV-ZBM. Withdraw from use in January 1956 after an accident at Esquel Airport in January 1958 - collision with the terrain when trying to return to the runway after takeoff. Seven fatalities.

Registration HB-ITE, c/n 1322/60. Built by Douglas USA, final assembly by Fokker Amsterdam. Delivered new to Swissair in January 1935. Sold to Phoenix Airlines of South Africa in March 1952, registered ZS-DFW. Written off at Kosti Airport, SUDAN in February 1953 when overran runway.
