Three stories, following three very different women from history: Lysistrata, a dancer from ancient times; Joan of Arc, medieval warrior; and Elisabeth, an American war widow who goes on a pilgrimage to Italy.
Douglas DC-6B
Registration N6523C, c/n 43523/230. Delivered new to PAA-Pan American World Airways in April 1952, named Clipper Betsy Ross. Leased to Capital Airlines in January 1960. Returned to PAA in May 1961, named Clipper Georgia. Sold to Air Lease Inc. in September 1968. Bought by Skyways International in February 1971. Leased to Trans Air Cargo in 1975. Returned to Skyways International in 1976. Written off in February 1978 at Laguna de Brus, Honduras on emergency landing.
The location is supposed to be Rome, Italy (so says the airport announcer) and the plane apparently flew in from New York. Aeroporto Ciampino Ovest.
