Joe Kelly want to fly since its youngest days. At least, his dream comes true just before December 1941. Pilot on a B-24, his plane vanished over Germany. But in 1945, his wife Claire finds hope again when a former prisonner of war is telling her that's Joe is alived but gets amnesia.
