Movie (1984)
English title: Godzilla 1985: The Legend Reborn
Starring:
Ken Tanaka (Goro Maki)
Yasuko Sawaguchi (Naoko Okumura)
Yôsuke Natsuki (Dr. Hayashida)
Keiju Kobayashi (Prime Minister Mitamura)
Shin Takuma (Hiroshi Okumura)
Eitarô Ozawa (Finance Minister Kanzaki)
In this direct sequel to the original 1954 film, Gojira (Godzilla in the English version once more) mysteriously returns following a volcanic eruption to again wreak havoc on Japan.
Also from this series:
Bell 212
Maritime Security helicopter which rescues Goro and Hiroshi. Registration JA9595, Serial 31226.
Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King
Seen in use by the Japanese navy to drop sonar into the ocean.
Lockheed P-3C Orion
Sonar plane used by the Japanese navy.
Bell UH-1 Iroquois
Several of these are used by the Japanese military throughout the film, notably to fly Goro, Hiroshi and Dr. Hayashida out to the nuclear power plant, and later to rescue Hayashida.
Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight
Seen used to drop off some cargo. Two appear to be used, with registrations JG1701 and JG1719 respectively.
Sikorsky UH-60 BlackHawk
Used to drop sonar into Tokyo Bay. Gojira surfaces directly in front of it, terrifying the pilots. it disappears during the jet assault, so presumably Gojira destroyed it. Represented by a model (save for the shot of the pilots reacting).
Mitsubishi F-1
The Japanese air force attacks Gojira in Tokyo Bay with these in time-honored fashion. He destroys a few of them with his fiery nuclear breath. Save for cockpit shots featuring the pilots, they're represented by models.
Aérospatiale SA 316/319 Alouette III
News helicopter which Gojira blasts with his atomic breath. It falls onto a car-littered freeway, setting off a chain reaction of explosions. Represented by a model only.
Aérospatiale AS350 Ecureuil
Flies Goro to Dr. Hayashida's building.
