The Yakovlev Yak-1 was a World War II Soviet fighter aircraft. Produced from early 1940, it was a single-seat monoplane with a composite structure and wooden wings.
Along the VVS (Soviet Fighter Air Force), this aircraft was used by Poland, Yougoslavia (a hundred ones) and the famous french fighter squadron on the east front, GC3 Normandie (later renamed Normandie-Niemen regiment).
Nearly 8,700 Yakovlev Yak-1 of all variants have been built between 1940 and 1944.
This page lists all films that feature a variation of the Yakovlev Yak-1.
