After Lisa highlights the extreme pollution levels in Lake Springfield, Mayor Quimby declares state of emergency and bans all dumping in the lake. However, in a rush to get to the doughnut store, Homer dumps his 'pig crap silo' in the lake only for it to tip the pollution into toxic levels. To contain the polluted city, the government seals Springfield in a huge dome which the Simpsons escape from while being chased by the town. Over time the dome begins to fail and the government goes to plan B - Blow-up Springfield. Marge and the kids leave Alaska to save Springfield but get caught, leaving the fate of the town in Homer's hands.
Note: This is an animated film. The aircraft shown in it are therefore not actual aircraft, however, where a reasonable depiction of an actual aircraft has been created, it has been identified as best as possible.
