KW ... Only two McDonnell Douglas DC-10s have worn such a registration : N917KM and N928KW both at their very end life in 2018. Both airframes share a very similar destiny, being manufactured in 1975, sold to Lufthansa which eventually sold them in 2001 to World Airways and converted to Freighter (N303WL and N304WL). In 2010, both are sold to a freighter charter company and registered in Canada. Their ultimate (American) registration 'KW' was given after both were WFU (withdrawn from use). They never worn or flew for American Airlines !
