Category:Albatros D.III
The Albatros D.III first fought in december 1916. Despite weaknesses in its lower wing and leading egde, which led to a grounding of the fleet at the second half of january and reinforcement work, it became the main tool in the success of the german Jastas during april 1917 (a deadly month for allies flying groups better known as Bloddy April).
It was the most numerous aircraft in front line in autumn 1917 and so some of the most successfull german pilot were at its controls for some time.
