Reg. N408BN Boeing 727-291 c/n 19993 of Braniff International Airways seen in Alexander Calder's Bi-Centennial Year paint scheme. Was first N7278F and later TC-AJY. The aircraft was eventually broken up at Opa Locka in November 1993.

Reg. N4A Columbia and N3A America were used by the director but few evidence on the footage seen.
Maybe on these long shot?
Continuity edition on takeoff : N4A Columbia identified by the lack of the pod beneath the nacelle.

Goodyear GZ-19
Reg. N1A Goodyear GZ-19 Mayflower is fitted with the blue pod intended to explode over the stadium and keep the Skytacular (the 3,000 incandescent lamps network on both side).
Mockup
Close shot on the crowd were filmed mostly with thousands of extras but some long shot of the whole stadium are using real footage filmed at Super Bowl X on 18 January 1976.
And later used with some overlay.
A mockup nose section of the blimp was recreated.
A mockup of the cabin of N1A Mayflower was too built.
Seen on the 40 first seconds of this super-8 movie.

Inside the cabin of the Mayflower (or its mockup ?), drawing of some unidentified gas balloon (maybe more on the comic strip mode than really historical accuracy).
Bell 206 JetRanger
Bell 212
Reg. N72AL Bell 212 c/n 30672 of Air Logistics, but wearing the Goodyear name and wingfoot logo. Built in 1974 and later sold in 1994 in Canada as C-FRWI. Ultimate fate unknown after being sold in 2008 to Georgia (the former USSR republic).
