Blériot Aéronautique was a French aircraft manufacturer founded by Louis Blériot. It also made a few motorcycles between 1921 and 1922 and cyclecars during the 1920s.

In 1913, Louis Blériot with the help of a consortium bought the defunct Deperdussin company assets and gave it a new start under the acronym SPAD. In 1920, SPAD despite the success of SPAD VII, XII and XIII were in bankruptcy and Blériot came again to rescue the design bureau. The new name Blériot-SPAD was used for further designed airframe from the type XX (twenty in Roman digit) until 1936 and the S.510 biplane fighter.
Along this activity, the Blériot company had still its own engineers and their factories manufactured types ranging from the Blériot 75 to the four-engine parasol-wing monoplane flying boat (type 5190 Santos-Dumont). On the first of August 1936, Louis Blériot died at 64 of a heart attack just a few weeks after the company was forced into bankruptcy.
The last step of this story occured in October 1936 when the French government provided capital incentive to boost military aircraft production, bought and merged several manufacturers, including Blériot Aéronautique into SNCASO.
