- F4U-7 registration N1337A, c/n 133722 built in 1952. Based at the Erickson Aircraft Collection in Madras, Oregon. Painted as F4U-4 BuNo 97231 "211" for the film.
- F4U-4 registration N4TF, c/n 9418, BuNo 97264 built in 1945. Owned privately by Dan Friedkin.
- FG-1D registration N9964Z, c/n 3729, BuNo 92468 built in 1945. Based at the Commemorative Air Force Dixie Wing in Peachtree City, Georgia.
- F4U-4B registration N240CF, c/n 9513, BuNo 97359 built in 1945. Privately owned in Kalispell, Montana. Painted as BuNo 82050 "205".
- F4U-1 registration N83782, c/n 3884, BuNo 17799 built in 1942. Based at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California.

Registration N4277N Douglas AD-4W Skyraider c/n 7850 built in 1952. Based at the Erickson Aircraft Collection in Madras, Oregon, the filming of this three-seat airborne early warning version (without a tear drop canopy !) required it have been digitally modified.
