Nikolai, a Russian hit man, seeks redemption from his troubled, violent past. He ends up with Lesley and her son Johnny in Los Angeles who take him in. As a thank you for this shelter, he repairs her dilapidated house. When old enemies learn where he is, he decides to fulfill his long-cherished childhood dream by fleeing to the state of Montana.
