Vickers 610 Viking 1B

The only action and shot with a plane :
Vickers 610 Viking 1B of BEA-British European Airways named Verdant, then Lord Anson. Light being what it is, the registration could be (G-A)HPL for Vickers 610 Viking 1B c/n 149 which made its first firt flight in January 1947. Damaged on a belly landing at Paris Le Bourget on 28 august 1949, the airliner was sold in April 1953 to Central African Airways (VP-YKK). Five years later, Pegasus Airlines was the next owner (and registration was again G-AHPL) but the airline ceased operation three years later. Eighteen onths later (March 1963), Autair International Airways leased (!) the plane. In February 1965, Invicta International Airlines operated it but on Monday 2 August 1965 an accident on takeoff occured due to a gust of wind during a training session. Takeoff was abandonned but the ensuing hard landing damaged both propellers and the nose section of the fuselage. So the airframe was a write off.
Note : these data are slighty different from those found for the other movie !
