This 1970s color film (Part 1 of 2) created by Wisconsin accountant and amateur filmmaker Norman E. Schley offers a travelogue view of New Zealand, with music and SFX sans narration, which was intended to be provided during in-person screenings by the touring filmmaker himself. Architectural landmarks, natural features, and cultural activities of Auckland, Christchurch, and Milford Sound are depicted in this colorful Kiwi picture postcard.

Douglas DC-8-52

Supposed to be at Auckland Airport (Auckland Airport/Taunga Rererangi o Tāmaki-Makaurau (AKL/NZAA) nowadays).
Registration ZK-NZA, c/n 45750/217. Built as N9683Z under ownership of Douglas Aircraft Company. Sold to Air New Zealand in July 1965. Leased to KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines in May 1969, named Antony Fokker, registered PH-ADA. Sold to Evergreen International Airlines in January 1977, registered N801EV. Leased to Northeastern International Airways in March 1982. Return back to Evergreen International Airlines in February 1984. Stored at Pinal Airpark, Marana, Arizona (KMZJ/MZJ) in February 1987.

Cessna 185C Skywagon

Registration ZK-CVG, c/n 185-0681R. Being a rebuild of ZK-CGD which had been bent at Porangahau in November 1966. It was rebuilt by Rural Aviation and became ZK-CVG on 01-08-1967. Delivered to Mount Cook Air Services Ltd. By the late seventies it went as Mount Cook Airlines with fleet number 17, changed to Mount Cook Airline company name dropping the 's' in the 1980/90s. It was involved in a mid air collision with the Aerospatiale AS 350D Astar ZK-HEA near Fox Glacier on 27-06-1992.Destroyed with no fatalities.

Cessna 185D Skywagon

Registration ZK-CKP, c/n 185-0796. Built in 1964 as test registration N5896T. It was imported by the NZ agents, Rex Aviation (NZ) Ltd of New Plymouth and registered on 12-03-1965 and transferred to Mount Cook Air Services Ltd of Timaru on March the 16th. Around 1977 it went through the company name changes of Mount Cook Airlines; Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Co Ltd and Mount Cook Group during which time it had the fleet number 15. Bought by Otematata Station Ltd, Otematata NZ in the mid-1990s. Still in service in the 2020s.
