This particular film "Schley Ride to Vacation Land" takes viewers along to Toronto, Ontario, Canada where they are immersed in the fun and sites of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). The film opens with a montage of footage beginning with views from a TCA plane and then from walking around the grounds of the CNE. The CNE, also known as The Exhibition or The Ex, is an annual event that takes place at Exhibition Place in Toronto during the final 18 days leading up to and including Canadian Labour Day, the first Monday in September. Inaugurated in 1879, to promote agriculture and technology in Canada, today the CNE is Canada’s largest annual fair.
