Caudron C.460 seen in Le ciel est à elles.

The Caudron Racers is a very special category among IMPDB : we put under the same 'family' name all the racers designed and built by this French manufacturer mainly to compete in the Coupe Deutsch de la Meurthe competition.
From the C.362 airframes of 1933 to the C.712 of 1936, please consider this category as a set covering all these single-seat racers:

  • the three Caudron C.362 and the C.366 (the third C.362, converted);
  • Caudron C.450 and C.460 : three airframes with a fixed landing gear (C.450) and three with a retractable undercarriage;
  • Caudron C.560 : two airframes built (but engine wasn't ready at the time of the race);
  • Caudron C.461 and C.561 : the cockpit is fully streamlined inside the fuselage (two airframes);
  • Caudron C.712 : fuselage of the C.714 fighter fitted with wings and horizontal stabilizer of the C.560.

This page contains all films, TV series, and video games that feature these Caudron Racers.
About the two-seat competition aircraft, be kind to use the Caudron Rafale.
