Crashed in December 16th of 1960 at Staten Island NY in mid-air collision with an United Air Lines Douglas DC-8-12 registered N8013U, on approach to LGA La Guardia and UAL to New York Idlewild.

Registration N6901C, c/n 4015. First flight in September 1952. Delivered new to TWA-Trans World Airlines in November 1952, named 901 Star of the Thames. Withdrawn from use in October 1960. Leased to CHA-California Hawaiian Airlines from December 1960 to April 1962. Leased to Modern Air in February 1963 then to Florida State Tours in June 1963. Leased to Lineas Aéreas Patagonica Argentina in February 1966. Written off in March 66 near Callao Peru , emergency landing off airport on delivery flight.
