- It seems like this was originally built as an F.3 but converted into an F.6 in 1964. [1] That'd make it an F.6 at the time this was filmed, right? Corkeyandpals 17:56, 29 May 2014 (MDT)
- Correct! I found the details in the airframe history section of the Lightning Association website. After conversion to F.6 configuration, XP697 was used to test 2 in rockets, large ventral tanks and the supports for over wing tanks. SENIRAM 10:08, 30 May 2014 (MDT)
