A greek N 2501 Noratlas.

The Nord Aviation company started a study for a new military cargo in 1947. The formula of a twin boom twin engine plane, named N 2500, won the competition. Once fitted with Bristol Hercules and now named N 2501, the plane was ordered in 1951. In 1956, the west german air force selected the cargo as did Israel the same year. Later, several airframes were sold to second hand users and eight airframes were converted to the electronic warfare for the french air force (which named them: Gabriel). A civil version with auxiliary turbojets (N2502) was sold to Union Aéromaritime de Transport and Air Algeria.

A total of 425 Noratlas were built.

This page lists all films that feature a variation of the Nord Aviation / SNCAN Noratlas.
