It's very sad as it seems it's the very first fiction movie featuring a seaplane, probably a Voisin. And last but not the least, it was colorized. </font>
If Max Linder grabs the steering wheel, it's Jules Védrines (with his moustache) who manned the controls.

(left to right) Max Linder "is piloting" face to face his bride. She's sitting on Jules Védrine's knees (whom we just guess the nose and cap), the actually famous French pilot who tries to hide himself the best he can.

Back to the slipway. The commercial movie is broadcasted with a different end : engine breaks down and the plane crashes. By luck, the heroes fail onto a church and so they could married despite legal guardian's opposition.
