Walter, a 50 year old Swiss engineer who lives in Latin America, accidentally discovers that 20 years ago he had a daughter. Later, while traveling to Europe by ship, he meets a young attractive girl Sabeth, who reminds him of his girlfriend from the past. Him and her also seem to have a lot in common; they quickly fall in love despite the age difference. But it turns out their similarities are not coincidental.

Aircraft is painted into TWA colours, but carries a name of fictional airline "South American Continental". According to the plot, the aircraft makes a hard emergency landing in the desert, and with TWA still in business in 1991, the creators of the film could not use its name.
