Saint-Ex movie poster.

Movie (2024)

Starring:
Louis Garrel (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)
Vincent Cassel (Henri Guillaumet)
Diane Kruger (Noëlle Guillaumet)
Jean-Stan Du Pac (young Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)

(Synopsis needed)

Note: This film utilises a significant quantity of Computer Generated Images (CGI). Aircraft portrayed in this film may not be entirely accurate and have been identified as closely as possible to real aircraft.

Fictional Aircraft

Landscapes are real and mixed later with actors and aircraft (filmed in front of a blue or green background).
Aircraft are not the most accurate. The two types appear identical, distinguished by the presence or absence of the lower wings.

Latécoère 25 (?)

CGI or replica ?
Should be a Latécoère 25 but there are many differences, some of them glaring!

Potez 25 (?)

Should be the Potez 25 F-AJDZ but again too many differences with the real airplane.
What's more, a close look at the landing gear, the upper wing attachment and the tail shows that it's the “Latécoère” that has been modified by the addition of the lower wings.

Registration F-AIPL on the rudder ... Was for the parasol-wing monoplane Latécoère 25-3.R c/n 640 !
The cowling and turbocharged engine are a far cry from what Guillaumet's plane actually looked like!
On Friday 13 June 1930, while crossing the Andes for the 92nd time, Henri Guillaumet crashed his Potez 25 and the aircraft flipped over, instead of vertical as seen here.

North American T-28 Trojan

Acting as the last aircraft manned by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the twin-engine Lockheed F-5B Lightning (unarmed P-38 variant for reconnaissance).
