Shadow in the Cloud movie poster.

Movie (2021)

Starring:
Chloë Grace Moretz (Flight Officer Maude Garrett)
Taylor John Smith (Staff Sergeant Walter Quaid, top turret gunner)
Beulah Koale (RNZAF Flight Lieutenant Anton Williams, the bomber's co-pilot)
Nick Robinson (Private Stu Beckell, tail gunner)

8 August 1943 : Flight Officer Maude Garrett is ordered to a special mission with a flight between New-Zealand and the Samoa Islands. This flight will be all but quiet ... mainly due to a gremlin.

Note: This film utilises a significant quantity of Computer Generated Images (CGI). Aircraft portrayed in this film may not be entirely accurate and have been identified as closely as possible to real aircraft.

Boeing B-17F (late) Flying Fortress

Christened The Fool's Errand a Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress serial 41-2686 (wrong serial as from a batch for Douglas A-20B-DL Havoc !). As the first flight of a B-17G occured in mid August 1943 so it's just a late B-17F but not a 1941 airframe as suggested by the false serial !
