In Africa, 2 expat "brothers" are usually at each other's throats but now have a common enemy. Ormond's men are shooting or catching much of the wildlife for export as well as forcing the locals off their land. Lots of fun fights follow.
Douglas C-47A-1-DK Dakota Mk 3
The livery largely matches registration ZS-DJK, c/n 11989. Built for the USAAF in 1943 with serial 42-92213, immediately transferred to the RAF as FL581 and then to the South African Air Force as serial 6813. Retired from military service in 1954, and would carry civilian registrations ZS-DJK, VP-YSY, A2-ADB, and finally Z-WRJ, under which it would crash at Harare, Zimbabwe on 20 September 1988 with no fatalities. During filming it would have been operated by Aircraft Operating Company (AOC).
Lockheed Ventura V
Serial 6487, c/n 237-6219. This airframe is still preserved at the South African Air Force Museum.
