A middle-aged Parisian lawyer meets a young girl and falls in love with her. The girl's mother discovers the affair and the couple must flee.

Still with Dewoitine D.338 N°9 so airframe is christened Ville de Metz and registration is F-AQBI operated by Air France.

For short routes, the Dewoitine D.338 could carry 22 passengers, aircraft used in the Far East were fitted with 12 luxury seats as seen here. But the story is first set during a flight between Le Bourget and Marseille and so we should see double seats on the right row.

Reg. F-AOZA Dewoitine D.338 c/n 01 (prototype with a limited commercial use by Air France in 1936). Christened Clémence Isaure (a quasi-legendary French medieval figure credited to have left a legacy to fund awards in the form of gold and silver flowers that the city of Toulouse would award annually to the best poets. Toulouse, France, is the home base of the Dewoitine company).
The aircraft was destroyed in 1944 during an air raid.
