Note :

  • this is the context of the first four episodes. Episodes 5 to 8 are about Libya.
  • sorry ! we couldn't say in which episode these screenshot are seen.

Tupolev Tu-154M

Tupolev Tu-154M of Aeroflot.

Mil Mi-24

Mil Mi-17

The roundel seems fictitious.

Aircraft #135

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 (first fighter variant)

Episode 5.
Russian or Libyan ? as episodes 5 to 8 take place in these two countries ?
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 and its Tumansky R-29 (exhaust nozzle).
Such tail's spin was for the initial production variant: the MiG-23S (Flogger A according NATO reporting names) and used too on MiG-23M/MF (Flogger B) or MiG-23 MS (Flogger E) and the two-seat MiG-23UM (Flogger C). Not the fighter bomber (see the radome on the left of the GAZ 69).

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 US

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21US s/n 09685126 (first flight in 1967) preserved as gate guard in front of the Test Pilots School at Moscow - Zhukovsky (Ramenskoye).
Still in the same state till 2017 (at least). In 2021 (or slighty before), she was embellished (and since then, code 68 has been painted blue).

Sukhoi Su-17 Family Aircraft

Too blurry for formal identification of the variant and customer.
Regarding the fin flash, possibly a Sukhoi of an Arab Air Force (Su-20 from Egypt ? Su-22M3 of Syria ?).
