Deadly African bees spread over Texas and kill thousands of people. Scientists led by Bradford Crane and Captain Helena Anderson try to find an antidote and destroy the swarm - against the advice of Army General Thalius Slater.

Registration N383S, c/n 10992. Operated by Hawkins & Powers Aviation for firefighting duty as Tanker 133. On 6 June 1979, crashed near Banning, California after a wing separation during firefighting operations.

Mooney M20 & Piper PA-23 Apache

In the foreground, with C-119 listed above seen behind. Tail of a Mooney M20 at left. At right, PA-23 registration N1099P, c/n 23-109. This aircraft would later be destroyed in a crash on 4 November 1981, killing the two occupants.
