A promising post-graduate literature student (Nakadai) is transformed into a psychotic killer following the suicide of his father and a sleazy affair by his mother with a younger man. One of the first "lonely hit-man" or "lonely killer.

Registration N1025V, c/n 15925. Delivered new to PAA-Pan American World Airways in January 1949, named Clipper America. Renamed Clipper Rainbow in 1950, then Clipper Celestial in the late 50s with new Pan American World Airways Jet Age / Globe scheme livery (1958/1970). Sold to Israel Aircraft Industries in February 1962, registered 4X-ASA. Transferred to Israel Air Force with new registration 4X-FOF in August 1962, then 4X-FPW in May 1965. Written off in December 1975.
