The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was an experimental jet aircraft suitable for sustained supersonic speeds. However, seriously underpowered, this prototype made only 51 flights and reach Mach 1 only on dive. The second ordered airframe was never built. Neverless, its data were successfully used by Lockheed for the Mach 2 class F-104 Starfighter.

The single Douglas X-3 Stiletto was sent to the National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio in 1956.

This page lists all films that feature the Douglas X-3 Stiletto.
