Douglas C-49E
Ex Douglas DST-144 Flagship Skyleepers requisitioned by the United States Army Air Corps under the designation Douglas C-49E in 1942. Twelve were returned to American Airlines between April 1943 and May 1944. Converted to conventional transport or freighter aircraft, eight were still flying in the early 1960s.
