The aeronautical epic of the First World War through the fate of five legendary German, French and British pilots.
Note: This is an animated film. The aircraft shown in it are therefore not actual aircraft, however, where a reasonable depiction of an actual aircraft has been created, it has been identified as best as possible.
Part One : 1914 - 1916
Unidentified Aircraft

Same aircraft in other movies at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft (Others : Human Powered Flight / Ornithopter section).

Douhéret Hélicoplane

Pescara helicoper

Unidentified Aircraft
Already seen in Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 hours 11 minutes. Perhaps a variant of the Pitts' Sky Car built by former associate W P Kindree (WP Kindley ?) but obviously lying on the patent of 1924.

Wright Flyer III

Blériot XI (replica)

Etrich Taube

Zeppelin LZ11 Viktoria Luise
Zeppelin LZ11 Viktoria Luise, one of two G Class built (in 1912). Seen here before the war at Baden-Oos, she was taken over as a training airship by the German Army. Broken on 8 October 1915 after more 1,400 flights.

Farman MF.7
At the outbreak of the war, French Aéronautique Militaire had selected the Farman as main bomber. Maurice Farman MF.7 and Maurice Farman MF.XI (which differed in lacking the forward-mounted elevator). The MF. 7 too was fitted with front elongated skids. Here, the computer generated image (C.G.I.) replaced the original godola by the smoother crew nacelle of the Farman F.40 designed only in 1915.

Voisin III

Not easy to be sure this wreck is a Voisin III or a derivative (Voisin LA or Voisin LAS).

Fokker D.III
