Probably North American T-6s.

Unidentified Aircraft

Elias NBS-3 or Curtiss NBS-4; both, just tested but not ordered by USAAC, were biplanes with box-like biplane tails and are of similar shape.

Martin NBS-1

Perhaps the same aircraft. Archive footage used as instructional material to trace the experiment of 1930 about mass parachuting.

Standard J-1

Curtiss JN-4 Jenny

Douglas B-18A Digby I

Douglas C-33

85 10TG on the tail.

Ground instructional airframe (tailless).

North American O-47

Unidentified Aircraft

What kind of twin engined monoplane would spray a smoke curtain for ground troops in the USA of 1940 ?
Are they the same aircraft seen in Buck Privates?

And what is this horizontal stabilizer in the foreground?
