17 mins black-and-white sound film describing a day in the life of Croydon Airport which was London's leading airport during the 1920s and 1930s, this film released in 1934 was the first-ever film made by the Shell Film Unit.

Registration G-AAXD, c/n 42/6. Delivered new to Imperial Airways in June 1930, named Horatius. Written off in July 1939. Forced landing on Tiverton golf course. It was returning to Exeter from France when the pilot could not find Exeter due to bad weather, leading him to make a forced landing. No fatalities.

Short L.17 Scylla

First of the two built, registration G-ACJJ, c/n S.768. Delivered new to Imperial Airways in March 1934, named Scylla. Transferred toB.O.A.C in 1939. Destroyed in gale Drem, UK in September 1940.

Registration D-ADER, c/n 5120. Delivered new to DLH in 1935, named Hans Wende. Sold to Syndicato Condor in July 1938, registered PP-CBE named Yarassu.Changed to Serviços Aéreos Cruzeiro do Sul in 1943. Sold to Fuerza Aérea Argentina in August 1947, registered T-169. Bought by Ministerio de Agricultura de Argentina in April 1950, registered LV-ZBM. Withdraw from use in January 1956 after an accident at Esquel Airport in January 1958 - collision with the terrain when trying to return to the runway after takeoff. Seven fatalities.
