Registration G-AKCE, c/n 1971. Delivered to the USAAF as Lockheed C-49 Constellation on August 1945 registered 42-94550. Civilan use for Transcontinental & Western Air as NX54212 on July 1946, then back to the USAAF and War Assets Administration. Sold to B.O.A.C on August 1947 as G-AKCE. Purchased by Capital Airlines as N2741A on June 1955. Sold to United Airlines on June 1961, then to Modern Air Transport.
