The Lockheed P-3 Orion is a four-engined turboprop, anti-submarine and maritime patrol aircraft in primary use with the U.S. Navy. It is based on the civilian L-188 Electra aircraft and has seen various enhancements to enable anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare.
